Dr. Niclas Hagen did his undergraduate studies at Lund University in genetics/molecular biology, as well as in sociology and political science in which he holds a masters degree. His PhD studies in ethnology, was conducted within the Basal Ganglia Disorders Linnaean Consortium (http://www.med.lu.se/bagadilico). In 2013, he defended his Ph.D. thesis 'Modern Genes - Body, Rationality, and Ambivalence’.
Dr. Igor Stankovic engaged in undergraduate studies in electrical and computer engineering in the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, and finished his PhD 2012 in computer engineering from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. He has worked as a post-doctoral researcher for two years at European Center for Virtual Reality (CERV) in France, before he applied to LETStudio as a post-doc placed at the Department of Applied IT.
Dr. Marisa Ponti conducted her PhD in Applied IT within LinCS. In 2012 she received an international post doc grant from the Swedish Research Council: The Role of Open Models in Mutual Development in Non-Formal Education. In this project she studied the application of Open Source Software and Open Educational Resources (OER) in educational practices in collaboration with Prof. Anders Mørch at InterMedia, University of Oslo.
In LETStudio Niclas, Igor and Marisa are part of the new project: Taking science to the crowd: Researchers, programmers and volunteer contributors transforming science online, which received funding from Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg foundation in 2014. The aim of the project is contribute to our understanding of how digital technologies are transforming the production of scientific knowledge as a consequence of scientists enlisting crowds of volunteers to contribute to scientific projects involving big data.
