Christina Söderman is a PhD student at the Department of Radiation Physics at the University of Gothenburg. Her PhD project is part of a larger project aiming at systematically evaluating the clinical usefulness of the new imaging modality chest tomosynthesis. Christina will be studying which improvements in chest diagnostics can be obtained in radiology by using chest tomosynthesis instead of conventional chest radiography. She will also investigate specific clinical tasks for which chest tomosynthesis might replace computed tomography. Throughout the project, different learning aspects in connection with tomosynthesis will be analyzed in collaboration with researchers from the Department of Education, communication and learning at the University of Gothenburg.
