Beata Jungselius became a doctoral student at the Department of Applied Information Technology/The Linnaeus Centre for Research on Learning, Interaction and Mediated Communication in Contemporary Society (LinCS) in February 2012. During her doctoral studies, she is be working as part of the University of Gothenburg Learning and Media Technology Studio (LETStudio), in LETStudio 3 and the MobSoMe project. The research activities within LETStudio 3 are focused on the ways that young people participate and develop literacy with current new-media ecologies.
Her research interests focus on social media and mobile phone use and the emergence of social norms online. She has previously worked with examining how people use mobile technologies and social media to document and share their experiences at cultural institutions and is currently studying what skills people need to develop to become competent members of social media communities.
