Biosketch: Anne Solli

Since August 2015, Anne Solli is a PhD student at the Department of Education, Communication and Learning, Faculty of Education, University of Gothenburg. Her doctoral studies will be carried out in the project Learning and Teaching through Controversy Mapping (LETCOM) which is funded by the Swedish Research Council. The aim of this project is to investigate what it means to learn about science and engage with issues in techno-scientific innovation in a world that relies heavily on digitized information. Anne investigates how science students handle uncertainties and differences of opinion regarding issues generated by techno-scientific innovations and how the students engage with network graphing software when exploring and disentangling the controversy as it appears on websites online.

In 2012 she wrote a licentiate thesis at Chalmers University of technology about biotechnology students understanding of the opposition to Genetically modified organisms (GMO).
